Welcome to the Bay of Quinte Yacht Club
Celebrating our Jubilee Anniversary
1876 – 2026
What is more iconic than sailboats on the beautiful Bay of Quinte? Celebrating 150 years of spectacular sailing, building community all while having huge amounts of fun from 1876- 2026!
Our “Historic Achievement”
We are the fourth Oldest Yacht Club in Canada, and the second Oldest in Ontario. A year long Celebration of Jubilee Events is planned. Please join us in our Celebration.
Visit Jubilee Events for details and select the Events that are of interest.
Our Club
BQYC is located in the City of Belleville on the beautiful Bay of Quinte, a short walk from the newly revitalized downtown core.
Our club caters to the interests of both sailing and power boaters through our various programs in cruising, racing in keelboats or dinghies, sail training, or simply socializing at the Long Reach Bar. We also have an active social calendar.
Note that BQYC is a self-help club, and our expectation is that members will contribute to such activities as the organizing of events, house and grounds maintenance, sailing school, etc.
Members: Are you not getting news? Did your email address change? Please email membership@bqyc.ca with your name, phone number, and new email address.
Our Mission
Our mission is to grow and unite our community through social, cruising and racing events while actively giving back, advocating for the environment and fostering lasting relationships.
Our Vision
At BQYC, we aim to foster a vibrant community where all members actively engage in a culture of inclusion. We strive for excellence in every aspect of yachting while nurturing a supportive environment that encourages camaraderie and mutual respect.
