BQYC Cruising Events 

Our volunteer organized cruises take place on various weekends throughout the sailing season (May until mid October) and vary from fun day-trips within the Bay of Quinte, to extended multi-day journeys throughout the Trent-Severn Waterway, Great Lakes, St Lawrence Seaway and beyond! Cruising events are organized by BQYC members and our cruising committee.

Sandy Cove - Summer Solstice - June 22. Spend the longest day of the year with us at Sandy Cove! Raft up, BBQ, swim and soak up the rays on the longest day of the year with your fellow BQYC members. Make sure to fly your BQYC burgee! Sign up by clicking here.

Night Sailing - July 20th. Did you know some of the best sailing is at night? Join BQYC for a night out on the bay, under the full moon. Sign up by clicking here.

Presqu’ile Yacht Club invites BQYC to Cruise to Bald Head - August 10th - 11th. We will meet PYC at Bald Head, drop anchor, swim, eat and drink and socialize with the PYC cruisers. If it’s windy we will anchor in Presqu'ile Bay. In the evening we are planning a night sky Swim - raft up and stargaze from our boats or from the water to take in the peak of the Perseid meteor shower. Sign up by clicking here.

North Port Sailing Siesta - Sept 14-15. Cruise across Big Bay to North Port and enjoy a relaxing anchorage! Soak up the end of summer with the BQYC. Sign up by clicking here.

Hay Bay Colour Cruise - Oct 5 to 6. Cruise to Hay Bay and take in the colours of fall along the Bay of Quinte and spend one last night out on your boat before lift out. Sign up by clicking here.

Annual Cruising Events

Up the Creek! - Rendezvous in Napanee. Join us for a weekend up the Napanee river, getting underway May 25 @ 1000 and returning to BQYC May 26th. The evening of May 25, we will have dinner at the Waterfront River Pub & Terrace followed by live music. Sign up by clicking here.

Buskers Rendezvous - Rendezvous in Kingston. A multi-day cruise from BQYC to Confederation Basin in Kingston for the annual Kingston buskers Rendezvous July 4 - 7. Sign up by clicking here.

Social Sailing

Don't own a boat? No problem! BQYC isn't just an awesome place for boat owners. If you are a social member and would enjoy a night out on a boat, sign up for our social sailing program to participate in casual sailing with a BQYC skipper. Sign up by clicking here. If you are a member skipper,  register with the social sailing program by completing the form here, on the members webpage or contact the Fleet Captain of Cruising e to take fellow BQYC members out for a sail!
